How are you doing today? You know this phrase. We use it daily many times. We talk quickly with our neighbors, with friends, with some people in our company or department. How are you? These words could lead into a deep discussion - but usually they just scratch the surface of the other person a little bit. We do not take it too serious. {{2009_02_18.jpg }} It takes time and effort to start a real conversation. What is a real conversation? It starts there where we drop our masks. It begins where we touch the important things which move the other person. It starts where we start to open our heart and our mind. That is usually a little bit dangerous. We might be hurt when we talk about our feelings, about fears and hopes, about problems and our struggle. It is interesting that Jesus wants a different type of relationship between his disciples. He wants true relationships. He establishes deep relationships which are determined by truth, love, grace and forgiveness. Nothing less is the task of God, the creator, for human societies. It is a far reaching goal, but this is how it is. God is waiting for us to join him and make our personal steps day by day.
