We are a family with three kids. Currently, our children are age 7, 10 and 12. Our oldest attends some secondary school which has a focus on arts. The others are in a primary school just around the corner. As a family of five we know all the ups and downs of daily life, the questions of salary and expenses, the demands of leisure activities, of musical lessons and various dates. For a family, the days are full from 7 in the morning till late in the night. {{2010_03_03.jpg }} **Christian Family** We are a christian family. Both parents are Christians. We believe in Jesus and we are quite happy that we both believe - that we share our faith and that we are very close to each other in the Lord. In fact, in the past our faith has helped us a lot to meet the challenges of life and to take what ever we had to take. Our kids grow up with faith. Of course, they have their question, and each child has a different way to approach the question of faith. We take this serious and hope that our children will meet the Lord and make their own decision to give their life into his hands. We work towards this decision, but ultimately it is their own choice. They will have to find out what path they want to go! {{ 2010_03_03_2.jpg}} **A life of faith** As Christians we do not have less challenges than other people. The difficulties are similar - but the answers and reactions might be different. We had a challenging time - with strong financial demands and just one salary to support everything. But we can confirm that the Lord has always provided everything to meet our needs, even thought this had to materialize every month again and again. Sometimes the Lord has miraculous ways to provide what you need. He can give you a good salary. But he can also give you little directly, but a lot indirectly. We got a lot of help by friends and our family in the past, which is worth more than a good salary could pay. We found support by unexpected circumstances and people we did not know well before. Everything is in the hands of our God and Lord. A life of faith within the family is also a life which trusts that he will help with all the personal challenges which arise for our children. A lot of things are evolving currently, with an open future for each of our children and for my wife and myself. So we do not know. But the Lord is there, he will be there to help us. His possibilities are unlimited ... we are looking forward to every day with him, working hard, learning more from him and sharing our life with other people, some of them living with the Lord and others still far away from him.
