Let us develop a real vision of society as it will be when the education of the Lord has started to change it. It will be a society full of acceptance and mercy. It will be a socity full of dedication, of help and trust. It will be a society full of joy and community. A Christian society will not be a perfect society. It will not be a society where the Christians do everything correctly. Christians fail with many things. The character of a Christian might be quite odd. Some of us look for power (as the disciples of Jesus did). Some try to be the new star in their profession or try to be in the middle of the attention in the church. Christians are not bettern than other people. There are so many examples of Non-Christians who manage far better than most church-goers to be moderate and helpful, to be reliable and do what is needed for society. {{2010_03_14.jpg }} **Trust which works** But still there is the vision and need for the Christian community to live in the image of Jesus. We need to be an open community, which is full of trust which works. We need to be clear that trust really needs to work in the spirit of the Lord. There are Christian communities which show his love. We have experienced the amazing community in Jesus so often while we moved from Germany to England and back twice, while we lived in the US, when we visited Japan or France, meeting new people which we did not know, but finding brothers and sisters in the Lord, entering new bible study groups and finding community in new towns. Even on the background of completely different cultures, we found a deep and amazing community! There are scandals of sexual misuse rocking the church in many countries today - and they are outrageous! It is unbelievable that people misuse the trust children and parents put into them under the name of Jesus. We cannot accept this and we must make clear that anything coming close to this cannot be a part of the community of faith. We must make clear to everyone, that if you act like this, you loose everything! Even Jesus has warned us, that it would be better to drown with a millstone around our neck than to cause any of these little to be led away from faith and trust in him. {{ 2010_03_14_2.jpg}} **Sustainable life and vision eternity** My vision of a Christian community and society is that of a sustainable life for all. Today, we love to set up competitions everywhere. It is good to compete for good solutions. Let those do the things who can do them most efficiently. But there must be a reasonable place for everyone. Are we building systems which give everyone a place to live and develop? A sustainable society will need to find a reasonable solution for every individual! Do we think about this at all? Have we been educated already by the love and mercy and attention the Lord has for us? We need to keep in mind that the Lord has limited our time on earth. But education in Jesus is an education which has an eternal perspective. We start to live with him here on earth. It is our training field. But our goal is his eternal kingdom, where his spirit reigns and where his justice, his mercy, his love and joy will fill every individual. We practice trust in him, since his kingdom is a kingdom of trust. Trust is needed to enter it - the trust in Jesus. We learn to live in trust, since this is what God's kingdom is about.
