How to go on? How to live as a Christian? It is interesting to experience and observe the ups and downs in our own life! {{2011_03_02.jpg }} **My Framework ...** What is the framework of your life? Are you in school or university? Or do you have a job in some large company or institution and everything seems to be set for eternity? Or are you threatened by unemployment? Are you unclear what will come and happen? Myself, I have started to work for a ministry about a year ago. I am still in the probationary period, that makes things kind of open. But in principle the job has rather high job security. I have learned a lot over the past year and I am still in the process of learning much more about the framework I work in now, about the particular processes in the institution, about the possibilities and limits of the things and people around me. There are different challenges in life. To enter a large organization and take responsibility for some of its parts, in dense interaction with other parts, with all the difficulties and possibilities which this brings, is definitely a challenge as well. {{ 2011_03_02_2.jpg}} **Where is God? ...** Where is God in my day? Where is he when I try to bring all the ends together. My employer wants to be a scientific institution, but also and in the first place an operational center which provides services. I am in the middle of this, trying to do both. Where is God in this task? As a Christian, I pray for my people and for the people I am in contact with. Also, I ask God to guide my thoughts and the way I act. I try to organize my day in a way such that I follow him. That does not always work immediately. I had some difficulties just to react to all emails a while ago, until I reorganized the way I deal with emails. Now this seems to work better, still I can miss important messages! But I see these very practical problems as faith challenges as well. Live the day with my Lord! Is it allowed to talk openly about such questions? Usually we want to keep some distance. We talk about personal things only in a very secure and limited environment. But on the other hand, when I talk about faith publicly, that must include personal things as well, since God wants to be there exactly in the challenges of our life! I want to trust in the Lord, to be the living God who he has always been, also in my immediate environment, in the institution I work for, and in the life of the people I meet.
