======God today ...======
Thursday, March 10, 2011. What is more important, to live faith on a daily
basis or to read the bible? How do we deal with the fact that the bible
is a book which contains very old stories? How relevant is it today what
happened 2000 years ago?

**Today ...**
How do I realize today what happened 2000 years ago? How to realize and
live the things I read in the bible?
Is it a conflict, life and bible? Is it something which would be different
from each other?
The biblical stories are fantastic! How do they transfer into my immediate
environment? What is reality? What is the case?

For example: Jesus said that he would be with his disciples until the end
of the world. He said this before he left them to come back in the form of
Gods Holy Spirit - what we celebrate with Pentacost. It would be reasonable
to transfer this into our own time by saying: Jesus is there with his
spirit, he is here with us, he is there with you, he is the living God!
God's presence in my life ...
God is there with his spirit every minute of our life. We might not feel him,
though sometimes we have a sense of his presence. But is is one of the
key transfer points to realize that he is here just as he was there with his
disciples.
So what does it mean, that he is here? What are the consequences? If he is
just there, what is the difference to the air we breath, to the light which
surrounds us every day?
God wants to influence our life. He wants to be a part of our life. He wants
to be our guide, our love, our center. God's presence in my life wants to
have conseqences for the way I life and think and act, for my feelings, for
the events in and around me! The idea is not that I need to do things without
him, but with him! He is here ...
