I have been in Munich on Friday. We were walking through the town in the morning - its a fascinating town. There are many old buildings with style mixed with modern architecture. There are various exhibitions of artists with style. And there is a vibrant university life, a fantastic mixture of lecture halls, seminar rooms, cafes and restaurants ... {{2011_05_09.jpg }} **Living in an environment with style ...** It is fantastic to live in some environment which has style. Not every town can have the same collection of great artists, the same vibrant package of attractions. Not every town in this world is London, or Munich, or New York, Paris or Berlin. How do we shape our environment? When we live in our little town, how do we shape it to gain in style and living quality? Perhaps, some people would like to shape style, others are not interested or do not have a sense for beauty! It might be quite difficult to change something locally. But if you don't try, you will never make a difference! I also ask myself, what role style has in my life as a whole. How important is style? What type of beauty do we want? Is it important and how does it relate to other things, to relationships for example? How does style relate to faith? {{ 2011_05_09_2.jpg}} **He shapes our environment! ...** I think that God is a God of beauty as well. God has made this world! His creation is so breathtaking fantastic, that it is impossible to grasp and understand. God's creation tells of a creator with deep style, with innovation, ideas, unlimited creativity! Every human is surrounded by the style of the Lord every day, from morning to evening. Where ever we live, he shapes our environment. And when we let him shape us, then he also shapes our interior and by us our relations and the way we treat each other! I am dreaming of a world where God's spirit shapes our world, not just the fascades, but also the interior structure, our emotions, our reason, the way we structure our life, our day, our relationships.
