======Who is God? ...======
Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Who is God? How is God? Some people even
ask: is there a God? Good point, what God is there? we should ask.
It is not just about a yes or no, but about a description of who
God is and how to interact with him ...

**How is God? ...**
I could give you a lot of adjectives to describe God. He is loving. He
is just. He is the truth. He is the creator of the universe, of animals
and humans. He is the source of life and the end of life. Yes, God
is truely fantastiac.
But the question is: does it help you to have some general abstract
description of God? If I have a girl friend, and I am really excited about
her ... would it help you to know that she is blond and good looking
and very joyful? Wouldn't it be much better to meet her yourself and
see yourself? Beauty is best received when you see it. Joyfulness is
best received when you experience it, not when it is described only!
So one of the key points of learning about God is to get to know him
yourself. There is no replacement for your own experiences. There is
some part of theology which claims that God needs to be postulated,
that experience cannot replace doctrine. That has a lot of truth behind
it, but also one key error: God is a living being, which needs to
be part, guidance and even center of your life. Doctrine alone will be
dead, it needs the living experiences with the holy Lord!

**How to experience HIM? ...**
How to experience the Lord? Since he is a living being, all fixed rules
will only be valid up to him willing to interact with you and you willing
to interact with him! If you do not go and approach him, there will
probably not being much of an interaction...
So there are some things which are frequently suggested in the bible to
interact with God. First: talk to him - in other words: pray. Prayer is
talking and listening. It can be active, but also quiet. It means spending
time in his presence, conscious time with him.
The second key thing: trust in him. Live by putting faith into your plans,
your actions, your words, into all you do. When you have faith, you will
experience the presence and power of the eternal Lord in your life.
Life with the Lord can be quite exciting ... giving us deeper insight into
who the Lord was and is and will be!
