Can life be based on trust? Who is trustworthy? It is quite interesting to look around a little bit in our society and observe how trust is used and applied. {{2011_07_13.jpg }} **Where is trust needed ...** As a company you need some type of trust. You deliver some goods or services to someone. Then, you wait for the payment. That needs trust. In particular, when you are a small company, you do not have the possibility to ask for securities. Without trust in your customer, without being confident that most of them pay for what they got, you could not do business at all. It seems to be a big problem with trust. When you go to a bank and open an account, usually you want some type of disposition credit, since you do not want to keep a lot of cash on your account, and occasionally it is difficult to plan when things are booked by various companies and when the salary is coming. But that is treated with strong caution by banks. The system today demands securities for any credit they provide ... so they do not have much flexibility. When we look into the current problems of the financial system, trust is a key element of the international problems. Do the markets trust a particular country that it can pay its bills. Are the public budgets able to pay? Do we trust them? Whom can you trust? {{ 2011_07_13_2.jpg}} **God's people need to be different! ...** There are many people in this world who disappoint trust which has been put in them. That can be trust by bank or by other people. But God's people need to be different. When we belong to Christ, we need to be as trustworthy as he is. Do not steal. Do not lie. Love your neighbor as yourself. God is completely trustworthy. He has shown his character in what he did in Jesus. And when we start to live in faith, we need to follow him. We need to be trustworthy with all what we do. When you live in an environment, which is trustworthy, it can be truly fantastic. We have many Christian friends (as well as non-Christian friends) who are trustworthy. And we have received a lot of trust in the past, in various circumstances. When ever we came somewhere, we found people who followed the spirit of Jesus with their solidarity, with their friendliness, with all what they did. They are a testimony of Jesus with their life!
