Do you sometimes fail with things? I would say that basically "no one is perfect", i.e. when you look a little deeper then everyone has various things which are successfull or go well and others which just fail or where one makes mistakes. {{2011_09_02.jpg }} **Do we accept criticism? ...** Do you accept criticism? By whom? What type of criticism do you accept? Often, we build some facade and we do not accept criticism through our exterior facade. Or we have some groups, directions or people where we do not accept criticism. There might be other people who can criticize us and we are fine. My personal attitude towards my activities is that I know that I am far away from being perfect. I do things, and I like doing things. I do them the way I think which is most effective to reach what I want. It does not need to be the "best" way, what ever that is. There are multiple criteria you can use: beauty, sustainability, speed, effectivity, creativity, ... I see more a landscape of possible criteria, and when I evaluate something I have done, it might be fairly good with respect to some criteria, and bad with respect to others. That is always the case, and thus criticism is always possible and has good arguments. {{ 2011_09_02_2.jpg}} **In the light of the Lord ...** There are also things where I fail completely, actions which are not right. I would, for example, count the evenings where I drink too much alcohol to these actions. It is just not good and sometimes I forget that. A headache on the next morning then reminds me that it was just stupid. When we failed, we can go to the Lord. When we failed it might be not our fault - then there is not much to do. But when we could have done better, when we are responsible for our failure, we need forgiveness. We can go to the Lord and ask him to forgive us. In Jesus he has already promised to do it, so we have an open source of deep and complete forgiveness. When we go to him, when we ask for forgiveness, it is forgiven. The guilt is gone. It is a part of a life in faith, to go to the Lord on a regular basis and ask for forgiveness. It is an integral part of faith life to be forgiven and to forgive.
