Some people are ambitions. Others are frugal. Both attitudes or behavioural patterns are important features of human character. These attitudes - as any other - can and will cause conflicts. {{2011_09_16.jpg }} **Ambitious or Frugal? ...** I have once been in a company with a partner. He is more the frugal type, I am more the ambitious one. That means when you think about the future of your little company, the frugal one is fine with having work for himself. The ambitious one is the one who wants to grow and generate work for more people. The ambitious one wants to develop the company to do something relevant and earn a significant amount of income. The frugal chap is fine with the income he has (it is more than sufficient anyway, since he does not need a car and is living in modest circumstances by choice). The ambitious one is different, he needs more ressources since he has further plans and activities. Is it better to be ambitious or frugal? Is it better for the individual? Is it better for the community to have this or that chap in its middle? Usually, the frugal one is easier to handle. These people integrate well into a group. They do their things, they take only a modest amount of ressources, they are joyful and helpful. So a community full of frugal people is to some extent a happy community. But there are also other needs in any group I know. There are challenges. There is the need to go beyond the current state. And for that you need the ambitious people. Without ambition, there is no real movement. You need both - and there must be a balance of ambition and frugality which fits the current needs and environment, sometimes more of this, sometimes more of that. {{ 2011_09_16_2.jpg}} **God's Way ...** Is God more ambitious or more frugal? That is really difficult to say! God is frugal in the sense that he is completely himself. He does not need anything. He is the Lord and when he speaks, things become reality. There is nothing, he could not do. He completely knows his all-surpassing power. He is resting in himself. He is. What could be more frugal than complete power? But God is also very ambitious! He has created the universe, the planets, the earth, plants, animals, humans. He gave them freedom. And he wants to bring them back into his presence after mankind has lost the peace of his community. What could be more ambitous than God's creativity and salvation?
