What does faith mean on a daily basis? I would like to talk about two important points today, about living environment for younger or older people and about the fear of mobbing. {{2011_09_22.jpg }} **What do I need? ...** Probably you have some of these huge appartment blocks in your immediate environment. There are many small appartments stacked into 12 floors or more ... People live here, perhaps you are one of them. Others have a nice terraced house or semi-detached house in a good neighborhood. Others again are too young or too old to live like that, they have a room in their parents house or in some home for old people. For our family we have bought a house recently. With 5 people it makes sense to buy and not to rent (different countries have different traditions here anyway). But the mortgage ist expensive ... what can you afford when you are old and when the income is significantly reduced? We might fear being poor! On the other hand we should ask ourselves, what we need! What do we really need? I read an article about two friends in some start-up company who experienced the break-up of their friendship after years ... when one started to act badly on the other, when mobbing destroyed a career and a life. What can happen to me? Usually, everyone is dependent on some line manager, or some panel, and on colleagues. What if they start to go against me? {{ 2011_09_22_2.jpg}} **All Fear is Gone ...** I believe that faith can play a key role in all of these problems and questions! Faith means: I know that God is there. I go to God with my fears. I listen to him. I talk to him. And I let him change my inner being, my fears, my worries, my perspective. First of all: the story of living circumstances. Our body is extremely valuable. Our mind is extremely valuable. Our being, our character, our personality ... all filled with value given by the Lord to everyone! It does not depend on the flat or house we own. It does not depend on the circumstances. When we realize and believe this value, our life will change. We will be filled with joy - even if we own nothing. If we have a bed with some silence in the night, if we have food and something to drink ... we will be completely satisfied. God will fill our days with purpose! He will be with us. The same is true for our professional situation. Even if we loose our career, he will give us other targets, and he gives us meaning. Our life is already meaningful since he loves us, but he also provides concrete challenges and a purpose which realizes this meaning in our human environment. You can bet on it! We do not need to fear anyone. Of course, people can cause damange to us. But God will heal and restore. He can also change circumstances and he can change people. With an open heart we will be able to wait on HIS solutions ... which can be quite a positive surprise to us.
