When I look into my environment, there are various things which are kind of natural goals ... {{2012_03_13.jpg }} **Possible goals ...** If you are a person with initiative and business talent, it is natural to either work for some company and put your talents in there, or to found your own enterprise and develop it. Be successfull, let your business grow and earn a lot of money. These seem to be natural goals when you do business! If you are a scientist, there are other "natural" goals. You want to be a capacity in your area. You want to know things well, and also come with your own insight and your own ideas. You want to establish yourself as someone who is smart and good. You might have a choice by choosing which particular goals you go for, but most goals are there already, you just pick them up! In politics, there are natural goals as well. You need to develop influence. If you want to do politics, it is about moving things. That means you need to network, you need to know people, you need to be in power. These goals will influence a good part of what you do: thinking about how to influence the community, the state, the parties ... Whatever direction you want to pull the community, you will always need to develop power to pull at all! {{ 2012_03_13_2.jpg}} **God's goals ...** The bible also offers us goals. God wants us to pick up his goals. He has goals with the human community, and these goals are communicated again and again in the Old Testament and the New Testament. God's key goal is that he wants us to live in truth and love. He wants the human community to be full of special relationships. God wants our life to be based on faith, on trust in him. He wants us to find peace with him, and then deal with other people based on his peace. When you life is fulfilled already, when all goals are met, you will approach life differently from when you still think you have to prove yourself. Live in peace with each other. That is one of the key goals he gave us. Live a peaceful life, a silent life. Live as someone who bears the treasures of the holy Lord. Live with his spirit as a source in your heart, a source of creativity and joy, a source of relationship, a source of new life every day. Spread his peace with everything you say and do.
