Sometimes days are flat. I do not mean that they would not be full of things happening. There might be a lot of work, a lot of action, meetings, travel, discussions etc etc. But they are flat in some particular perspective ...! {{2012_05_10.jpg }} **The image of a flat world ...** Do you know the image of a flat world. Imagine beings who are just two-dimensional. They know two dimensions: length and breadth, but not height. They can move around. They can basically do everything we can do. But they cannot jump over things, since the third dimension is missing. It is an interesting idea by itself. What would change in our world if we would live in a two-dimensional world. Please note that the time dimension is still there in this world - so to some extent it is three dimensional and our standard world is four dimensional with three space dimensions and one time dimension. But the connectivity of things in a two-dimensional world is completely different from those in a three-dimensional world - the topology is different. Sometimes my days seem like something is missing, though everything is there. I feel like being squeezed into a two-dimensional world, though there should be a third dimension or even further dimensions in my life. What is wrong? What is it I am looking for? {{ 2012_05_10_2.jpg}} **God is missing! ...** I realize that it is God who is missing. He is there, but in these busy full days with many activities sometimes I do not realize his presence. I remember a time in my life when I did not realize at all that there is God. I was just living in a flat world, flat without him. When you get to know God and realize that indeed he is there and is interacting with us and our world, then suddenly there is another dimension. It is like a two-dimensional being suddenly realizing that it can stand up and look around in a three-dimensional way. Suddenly there are many other possibilities arising, since there is another dimension and it changes everything. Faith is the invitation to stand up and live in the full world, with God being there. It is the invitation to relate to him, to talk to him, to live with him and experience his presence. God, come and help us how to open our eyes and our heart for your presence in our day!
