There are days which are full of professional activities. When you are on a workshop with joint accomodation, this starts already with breakfast. Then, there are meetings, coffee breaks with continuing discussion, lunch jointly with important conversations about coordination of international activities ... {{2012_09_12.jpg }} **Where are we? ...** ... I wonder, where faith is on such a day. Yesterday, after meetings from 9-5 we even had a meeting from 5pm to 7:30pm, and then another one over dinner from 8pm to 11:30pm. Sometimes it is difficult to get a break. Where is your faith gone on such a day? How do you live faith in meetins and discussions? God does not vanish when we are busy. Of course not, you might reply. But God might vanish from your mind and your heart! The point is not about being busy or not being busy. The point is whether I am "in him" when I am busy, or whether I am far from him. There is an old sentence of Martin Luther, who said it can be worship to milk a cow. It can be worship to be sincere in meetings, to sit there and act in his spirit. What exactly does it mean to act in his spirit? There are many things on many layers. For example: he loves you. He wants you. He appreciates you. That can give you confidence for the tasks which are before you . He will be there with you, he wants to help. Then, he wants you to love the others, friends as well as your enemies. That can help you to work towards peace. It will lead you to acceptance and a constructive attitude ... even if you experience problems. {{ 2012_09_12_2.jpg}} **I am with you ...** God is there, and he is the God of truth and trust. So when you live in him, you will be trustworthy, and you will not lie. You will be honest and friendly. Even if you need to address difficulties, you will be constructive. You have a Lord who has forgiven you everything you have done ... so forgiveness will be your guiding principle. Faith influences our whole attitude. It influences our way of work, our way of thinking, our feelings, our existence. Faith is a relationship. It is not something which would be completely dependent on you. Even if you are busy or unable to do much, God is there. He will hold you, he wants to be your Lord, in your weaknesses as well as in your strength, on days where you are completely absorbed into business as well as on days where you have free time to talk to him and listen to him!
