We have been discussing the media market. Of course, we can think about it in general terms. But that is not our main concern. As Christians, we think about it with respect to Christ. We ask: how is his dedication to mankind reflected in the general public? {{2013_02_07.jpg }} **Can people learn about Christ? ...** Can people learn about Christ, when they read the general media? Can we learn about Christ when we read newspapers? Or when we watch TV? The answer is no. In general, today we will not learn about Christ. He is not present in our media. There are particular channels, yes. But most media do not know about him! When we ask why Christ is not present in our media, we will quickly identify the reason for that. If he is not present in our life, he will not be present in our activities and in our words. But when he is present in our life, he will also be present in the way we talk about our life, and when we are in the media, he will be a topic in the media. When your decisions are influenced by faith, when your life style is influenced by faith, you will talk about it at some point. Imagine one of the many talk shows. People who believe will talk about how their faith influences their decisions. "I have stayed in that job, just because the strength to go on came to me through prayer and by being with the Lord." Or "I stopped to steal, because I got to know the Lord." When Christ is in your life, you will be able to tell about it. His spirit is a strong power! {{ 2013_02_07_2.jpg}} **Chances and Difficulties ...** ** I see many chances to talk about the Lord today. People will be open to listen, when people of faith start to sincerely talk about God and his unlimited possibilities in our life. There is so much to gain. The discussion is not public, but it can be public and will be public. Hurray! But we have to mention the difficulties as well. The world of faith and the secular world are far away from each other. People who do not know God will think that you are crazy. They will come with many heavy accusations. People of faith have to be quite careful, not to be drawn into a blind conservatism. Christ has never been blindly conservative! He has been extremely progressive, but very faithful towards his heavenly father at the same time. But I expect huge chances to talk about insight and knowledge, which the bible communicates and which the Holy Spirit wants to give to everyone still today and tomorrow.
