======God's Kingdom - Remarks ...======
Friday, April 26, 2013. Sometimes you might ask yourself: where is God's kingdom
active in my life?

**Searching for God's Kingdom ...**
We have different ideas about how God's kingdom should be active in our life.
Sometimes we think: God should help us with our daily needs. And this fits well
into the prayer which Jesus taught us: "our daily bread give us today". But we
also have to learn that this is not all, what God's kingdom is about! Just talking
about bread would be thinking way to short.
Sometimes we might think: God saves us, and we want to go to heaven. But what is
it what is going on in us when he saves? Is it just some nice kind of hotel we
are looking forward to? Is it just a place where we do not suffer any more? Or do
we have a better idea of what God is like, and what heaven is like, and why we
should go there? Do we want to be just, full of truth and love and dedication?
Do we want to be completely reliable?
Sometimes we think that the kingdom of God is easy to reach. We do not think about
endurance. We do not think about testing ourselves. We do not think about decisions
which need to be taken.

The point is that the kingdom of God is one level deeper and one level higher
than we usually think. Thanks to God!
**Biblical Encouragement with respect to God's Kingdom ...**
Let us have a look at several biblical passages about God's kingdom.
We read:
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. .. (1 Corinthians 4, 20)
For God's kingdom does not consist of food and drink, but of
righteousness, peace, and joy produced by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14, 17)
All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. (2 Thessalonians 1, 5)
The kingdom of God is a great thing. It is a matter of power - but not the way we
usually think! The power can be a power of endurance in suffering. It is a matter of
righteousness - but not of righteousness which is generated by the individual, but
by Jesus. It is a matter of being counted worthy ... by faith in the middle of
all the difficult things which happen to us.
