Sometimes, we come to God, try to turn to him, into his presence, and it seems that we are sitting there with an empty head. God, what to think? What to say? What to pray? Nothing ... {{2013_06_26.jpg }} **Empty ...** You might think, that you have to bring something, when you go to God. Perhaps you want to bring something you did well? Or you think your shoud come with some prayer, some real need or request? Is that really what is needed? Or you are searching for a spiritual experience. You think that you should feel particularly good or spiritual. Some people think they should feel bad when they come to God, since they are sinners. But we cannot always manipulate our feelings that well - and then they do what ever they want to do. We feel furious about God, and try to hide it. Or we feel empty, and try to cover it. But we do not need to cover any feelings or hide any feelings when we come to the Lord. He knows all what is in us anyway. He knows all the hidden feelings, all the things we try to forget or try to push away from our conscience. He knows it all. We can relax and give up play hide and seek with him, with the almighty Lord of heaven and earth. {{ 2013_06_26_2.jpg}} **He loves us ...** ** God loves us. He deeply loves us. He loves all we are. His love is not made smaller by our failures, by our mistakes, by our evil thoughts, by our fury. His love is not made smaller by our beauty. It is not made larger by it either. All what we are is made by him anyway. He loves us as his children! We learn that the intelligent, the successful, the beautiful are attractive. We learn, in nearly all societies on this planet, that we are loved because of what we have, what we are, what we do. But we are loved for no reason. We are just accepted by him, by the eternal God, for he loves us. He made this very clear through Christ Jesus. The death of Jesus at the cross is a death which is taking all our failures, all what went terribly wrong in our life, even our ignorance and even the things we did intentionally wrong. All these failures of our life is brought to justice. And in this justice, we are completely forgiven, completely reconciled, we are given new life - purity of the heart and the mind. God is solving the deep problems of our existence - those we sometimes have not even started to realize. But we can be calm, it is all done. And on the basis of his love, we can come to him as we are - empty or full of sorrow. With urgent needs or just with the wish of peace and a quiet moment.
