======Decision Points ...======
Friday, Feb 7, 2014. Sometimes, time is ripe for a decision. Do you know this situation.
It can take us days, weeks or even years, when we are not clear about particular
points. We might think about them, try this or that. But there are days, when
decisions are ripe.

**Consequences of Decisions ...**
Decisions have consequences. You can accept some job offer or turn it down. You can
write an application, or not write it. You can tell someone, that you love him - or
you can be afraid to do so and decide to stay quiet, again and again.
Decisions can have important consequences. Sometimes we want these consequences. We
want to live in a house, we decide to buy it. Or we want to become an engineer, we
start to study engineering. Sometimes, however, we do not want the consequences.
We might not be clear about what it means to go a particular way.
If I look into my life, there were many steps and decisions where I learned what
they meant only afterwards. I did not know when I started it. I got three kids, and
I did not know about the joy and love it would bring into my life, but also I did not
think about the financial responsibility and the continuous effort it takes.

**Faith Decisions ...**
>
Faith also needs decisions. There is the big important starting point, where you
decide to trust your life into God's hands. That is a decision which according
to the Bible has eternal consequences. And then, as a Christian, you still are faced
with many decisions day by day when you try to live faith.
It would be great if we could sit together a little and discuss the many very
private decision points, which you face day by day. The interaction with others
either in your church or your job will bring great moments, but also conflicts and
wounds. Sometimes, we do not know or realize how deeply a sentence we speak
lightly hurts others. Sometimes we want to reach something and use such sentences.
Sometimes we want to hurt!
So we need faith decision while we deal with the daily needs and daily tasks in
our education, our job, our family. What to do? How to shape them? Decisions need to
be prepared - by reading the bible. We need to prepare them by asking the Lord for
wisdom and guidance. And we need to practice ...
