======Who is waiting for whom? ...======
Tuesday, Feb 25, 2014. I had the feeling recently, that I am waiting for the
Lord. I am waiting for him to be active in my life. I am waiting for him
to guide me. I am waiting for his promises to become real, to show that what
I heard as his words will become a reality ...

**Waiting for him ...**
So I had the impression that I have been waiting for him. I have been waiting
that he might start to fulfill his promises.
But I had to realize that it might have been the other way around already for quite
a while. Not I have been waiting for the Lord, but the Lord has been waiting
for me! I wanted him to do something, and he said: yes, I will. Go the following
steps. He started to do, what I had asked im to do. But he wanted me to be
a part of it, and that needed me to go some particular steps. So he was waiting
for ME!
To be more concrete: the particular thing he was waiting for was my prayer. I had
asked him to be more active in my life and with my words and activities. And he
told me: I will. Just come to me and talk to me and listen to me, day by day.
But I did not do it. I came only once a week. Sometimes I did not come for weeks.
How could I expect him to use me, without me listening to him?

**Waiting for us ...**
>
God is waiting for us. He is waiting for us to turn to him. He is waiting for us
to take him serious. He is waiting for us to trust him. That is what he wants us
to do - and then he can and will be active in our life!
Humans have often tried to turn the responsibility around. We treat God as if
he would be responsible to us for his actions. But this is not true. He is not. But
WE are responsible to him for what we did and what we did not do with our time
and our possibilities. At some point in the future we will realize how much
God has done for us - and how strongly he tried to lead us towards justice, truth,
love and peace.
So what is God waiting for when it comes to you personally? Is he waiting for
you to stop some particular behaviour? Is he waiting for you to turn to him,
to talk to him? Is he waiting for you to trust him, to come to faith? Or perhaps
he wants to send you and wants to use you, he wants to give you gifts and skills
and blessing into your life - if you could just start to live with him, start
to look towards him and open your hands ...
