Faith means to trust the Lord. How can we do it? What does it mean? We live through faith in God, through faith in Christ Jesus. And this faith has severe consequences for our life! {{2014_07_25.jpg }} **Living Faith ...** He is the bread of life. We are all brothers and sisters in the Lord. No one is greater, no one is smaller. We are called to share what we have, to help each other, to work for each other, and to support each other. We are even called to love one another. That is far reaching. We can no longer try to reign over each other. We cannot try to collect a lot of wealth, without all the others. We need one another, and as long as some of us suffer, all will be suffering. Ignorance is not an option. When you ask yourself: "what is my particular role in all of this?" - you might find the following passage of Acts very instructive. Let us have a look: 17 But the high priest rose up, and all who were with him (that is, the party of the Sadducees), and filled with jealousy 18 they arrested the apostles and put them in the public prison. 19 But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, 20 “Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.” 21 And when they heard this, they entered the temple at daybreak and began to teach. (Acts 5, 17-21) {{ 2014_07_25_2.jpg}} **Freed to spread the word of life! ...** > The world puts people of faith into prisons. More than that: we all are in prisons of particular behaviour: we are in a prison of wrong priorities. We are in the prison of trying to gain money, power, to superseed others, to gain fame, acknowledgement, attention etc etc. But God frees us from these prisons. He sets us free with a purpose. God wants us to live freely, to live with his love, his grace, his truth and with the fascinating world he has created. And he gives us a purpose. Here, the apostles are freed to spread the words of life. We are called to invite everyone to faith, to explain faith, to live faith and love everyone. It cannot be spread by force. It cannot be spread by power. But it can be spread by speaking, teaching and by loving actively. So there are very helpful instructions for our daily decisions. Let the wrong priorities go - and pick up the right priorities. Care for one another, there is enough to do on this planet. And spread the word of life, since this is what he wants you to do: nothing better to gain for each and every individual human on the planet!
