======The most we can hope for ...======
Friday, Aug 8, 2014. What is it we can hope for for our life? What are the
goals you try to reach? What is it you struggle with? Is it food for life?
Is it to earn your living? Is it to be accepted, to find your personal way?
Are you trying to find friends? Trying to find a partner?

**Reduction and Blessing ...**
I have a friend whose marriage just broke. She is in a dificult situation, and
what she hopes for is to survive all what hurts. She is hoping to find her way,
to earn enough to make her living, to get over the breach of trust, which
she experienced. What can you hope for? There are so many things, if you are
in this situation.
When your daughter is ill, and you suffer from it, what can you hope for? You
hope for healing, you hope for relief, you hope for improvement. The question
might sound empty, and futile. Of course, there are immediate needs, you hope
for. When you cry for help, you have clear needs and hopes.
Perhaps the above things are not the difficulties you face. Perhaps your challenges
are more on another side - your job is difficult, you are within a tough competition
and you need to find your way. Our business world today does not leave much
space between clear success (victory indeed, you lead the market) and complete
failure (you vanish from the market). What can you hope for? You have to hope to
succeed - or change either your company or your job.

**The spiritual dimension ...**
>
Sometimes we forget, that life has a spiritual dimension. Too many of us humans
forget that God is there, and that he is the master of life. He is the one who
made it all. We can hope to learn something about God, we can hope to get to
know him.
The biblical books are quite clear: God wants us to learn to look at life from
his perspective. It is a calm perspective, a perspective full of insight, full
of truth, full of peace. He wants us to learn to live peace ourselves. There is a
lot in this: "learning to live peace". It needs his provision for our needs. It
needs our will and our decisions. And it needs a relationship to him, which we
live day by day.
The most we can hope for is to live a life based on him. When we live with him,
day by day, he will take care of all the needs we have. Step by step he will
help us to grow in faith and in wisdom. He will change our life, but it will be
an exciting change, full of blessing, foll of life, full of joy and excitement.
We should first put our hope in him, and then see what he manages to do in
our life. He will never let us down!
