Another Service ...====== Friday, Dec 12, 2014. Sometimes, it is time for some words of thanks. When your heart feels grateful, you should express it. I feel grateful at the moment. {{2014_12_12.jpg }} **Some Advent Worship Service ...** Usually, I attend the services of a free evangelical church in a town south of Frankfurt, Germany. Every church has its style - and that is good. But sometimes it can be very good to attend another style, another type of church. That happened when we were on the advent worship service of the Christian Klinik Hohemark in Frankfurt last night. My wife works there as doctor and therapist, and the staff members met for their annual christmas party, which starts with a worship service. The service here was very nice, with plenty of music and creative elements. The sermon I would call "classical" in the sense of German state churches, but filled with words of faith and encouragement to believe in Christ Jesus. It was just good. A good choir, good performance of the theatre group, some general speeches as a part of it, reviewing the year, but also words of faith, a deeply Christian sermon. Why not just be happy about such an event. The Lord is great. {{ 2014_12_12_2.jpg}} **Invitation to work in faith ...** > The Klinik Hohemark is a Christian hospital for phyciatric illnesses. It is lead by a Christian charity in Germany, and daily there is the need to bring together Christian ethics and business arguments, people from different Christian backgrounds and people who do not believe (belief is not necessary to become staff member). It is challenging, and encouraging also - since faith plays a significant role in the way people work and things are arranged. For everyone of us, who lives with the Lord, it is a continuing challenge to do the same, to live in faith in the middle of this world. It is a continuing challenge, to let faith evolve in the middle of ordinary jobs, of institutes and offices and companies. It can be great, when it works! The spirit of the Lord is mighty. Gratefulness comes. We learn from the apostles that it is a part of faith, a part of a life filled with the Holy Spirit. Indeed, it is.
