======Drawn into the Good ...======
Friday, Feb 20, 2015. Sometimes, there is the danger to loose direction. Today,
we are surrounded by many things, where ever we live on this planet. At the
same time, we have a lot, and we suffer difficulties. There is all what is given
to us, but also we lack many things. This applies to everyone.

**Drawn into what? ...**
We might be drawn into envy, where ever we are. Even if you have one million, there
might be someone with 10 million. Even if you are blessed with a nice husband or
wife, there might be someone with more beauty or better skills. We can always be
drawn into an unproductive mode or life! We can be drawn into frustration, into
unbelief, into bitterness, into giving up.
But it can also be different. We can be drawn into the good. We can stay on track,
on God's track of mercy and truth and love and forgiveness. We can move onto his
track of mutual support, of a life which knows that he is Lord!
You need faith to stay on track. You need to know that the Lord is good. You need
to look into his heart and learn from his mercy and love. He is, after all, the
creator, the beginning and the end. Let us read Psalm 146, where his mercy and
righteousness is described in detail:

**The Lord sets the prisoners free ...**
1 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul!
2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
3 Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.
4 When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish.
5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God,
6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever;
7 who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free;
8 the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.
9 The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.
10 The Lord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord!
(Psalm 146)
Sometimes it is necessary to consciously make a choice. Do you want to continue
the wrong track; do you want to start the track of complaint and bitterness? Or
do you want to open your eyes to the presence of the Lord, to his way, to the
goodness which is already there, very close to your heart!
For me, it is so good to read these lines of Psalm 146 - as well as other parts of
the biblical books. They bring me back to him, where I am in the danger to fall
into frustration. Salvation is in God alone. Life and future and love and full
support is in him. He will save you and me, he has already done it in Christ Jesus.
We can be so glad that God exists, and that we are not depending on humans alone.
Praise the Lord, O my soul!
