======Balance of Patience and Goodness? ...======
Monday, Feb 23, 2015. Sometimes, things are just too good to be true. Have you
ever experienced that? When things are too good to be true, usually something
is wrong. The whole things might break down easily, it turns out to be an
illusion, just a mistake, and suddenly you are back down to earth. Right?

**Is there Goodness? ...**
Is life full of goodness? Is it full of friendliness, full of good things? What
is needed for us humans to fully experience goodness? I believe there needs to
be a balance of humility and modesty as a prerequisite of continuing goodness.
Only with a serving attitude, you can stay leader in the long run.
If you do not
have this serving attitude, if you do not have modesty and humility,
you go into the wrong direction. Then, you do not qualify for being a leader
with sustainable influence and leadership. Goodness needs to be balanced
by elements of patience, servitude, love and truth!
The good news is that there IS a basis for goodness and friendliness in our life.
It is the Lord himself. His steadfast love never ceases, his mercies never come
to an end. He is, in himself, continuing life and renewal, day by day by day. He
is healing, he is eternity, he is truth and wisdom, consolation and salvation!

**Songs of Lamentation ...**
Let us look into the songs of lamentations. It is written here:
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. 26 It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. (Lamentations 3, 22-26)
The song speaks about the goodness of the Lord, but it also speaks about patience.
It speaks about waiting for his salvation. We know, today, that it came in Christ
Jesus. We know his salvation, it is with us, every day, by his spirit. But we also
know that mankind had to wait for it thousands of years. And we know that
on a personal level this time of searching and waiting is very important. How could
you appreciate his salvation, if you never searched for it, if you never came to
the point where your desire and longing has been deep and unfulfilled?
When you want continuing love and joy, you need to learn patience. And you need
to get to know the Lord! When you want continuing prosperity, learn patience. Lern
to wait. Learn to work hard. And learn to live in mercy and goodness, in an
attitude of kindness. In an attitude of truth and truthfulness. Learn to follow
the Lord.
"It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord."
