======Salvation Prepared! ...======
Monday, June 1, 2015. What is it that holds you and your life, ultimately?
Take the question serious, and you will realize that only God can hold you.
There is nothing else - not humans, not power, not money, not science, nothing!
Only God, the eternal God, can hold you and save you!

**Human desire for life and security ...**
Of couse we have key desires. We want life. And we want security. But we also
realize that we cannot keep life forever. We even cannot keep it for a given
time. We do not have the power to generate full security. We do not know!
God has given us the ability to exercise some power. We are given insight into
nature, and a free will, to do what we want. We can do, what we can - we have
the skill to learn from nature, to influence it, to govern it. All this is good,
and we should use it. Science and technology are given to us, and the history
of mankind shows that it helps us a lot (though we also employed it to its
worst).
At the same time, there is more. It is not just us influencing our fate, our
environment, our days. It is also God, who is there. He is the Lord of Lords,
and the king of kings. He is ready to be a part of our life, with his ability
to influence things on a deep level - so deep that we can barely see it. But
he is more effective than we could ever be! God is there, and by prayer and
silence we can be with him: he has asked us to tell him, what we need. He wants
us to talk to him, and to listen to him, sincerely, with an eager mind to
hear and to follow!

**We put ...**
If you never tried to trust the Lord, how can you know what will happen? If
you never started to get to know him, and to love him, and to pray to him, how
could you know? Let us listen to some Psalm which David wrote, about God
when he listens, and about God's answers. It is a deep, encouraging and
prophetic Psalm:
1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! 2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! 3 May he remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! 4 May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! 5 May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions! 6 Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. 8 They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. 9 O Lord, save the king! May he answer us when we call.
(Psalm 20)
We could talk about this Psalm for quite a while. It whishes you well. Above all
it desires your salvation. From about verse 6 it talks about Jesus, about "his
anointed". He is "the king"! When David talks about salvation, through the Holy
Spirit his view is going far beyond his personal situation - into what God is
preparing for mankind: Jesus. It has happened. Today it is all set, it is all
done. Salvation is there for you and for me and for everyone on this planet.
