======With your heart ...======
Tuesday, Aug 18, 2015. It is good to have some real holiday some time each
year. It is good to find time to let go, to relax. In particular when we have
a lot of responsibilities and work, time off work is very important for us.

**Time-out ...**
When you are taking care of things day by day, it can be quite a challenge to
let go. We tend to take things with us - even if we are far away from our
responsibilities, we have them in our heart and in our mind. Letting things go
can be an active process. It does not happen just by itself. You need a
reason and goal to let go, you need a power which helps you to process and
change what you carry with you!
What is helping you to let go? What is helping you to treat worldly things
as what they are: worldly things? Who or what is balancing them? We need the
Lord, to help us to be human in its full depth. We need his power and presence,
we need him to fill our heart.
This morning, the following sentence from the gospel of Matthew
caught my attention:
8 “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; 9 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” (Matth. 15, 8-9)

**Their heart is far from me ...**
Where is my heart, where is your heart? Is it close to the Lord, or is it far
from the Lord? The sentence here is spoken about some religious leaders, who
were stuck with their rules, but they did not follow the heart of God. The rules
might have been useful in some circumstances, but they used them the wrong way,
they are not God's rules.
But the key point here is: do we reach the heart of God? Do we find him? Does he
reach us, our heart, our mind? Are we able to follow? We will find heaven when
we touch him. We will find an unbelievable love and truth, when we come to him
and when his spirit fills our heart. We will find a freedom which we could not
imagine before we met him.
Finding God is wonderful. It will change people - they will start to be truthful,
faithful and forgiving. Not that they can do everyting immediately, we all need
discipleship, we all need to learn and to grow in faith. But experiencing the
heart of God is a fantastic experience, which has deep impact on us, on our
whole life.
