We had a special service in our church yesterday, which was about decisions. We tend to let things open today. We are used to having a broad range of options, and we can switch any time. I call it "the shopping mode". You have all the choices, and you put things into your basket as you wish ... you design your own combinations. {{2016_02_29.jpg }} **Background of Life Decisions ...** How do you come to your decisions? What is the process of decisions? Some of us tend to simply choose what they consider to be right. Others first need to look into all the different scenarios, they work towards possibility one, then they work towards possibility two ... without choosing yet. When they have gone through everything several times, they make their choice. In the end, we all choose, and we need to choose. Life is about many choices which we do day by day! Smaller and larger choices ... Let us talk about the background of faith choices. Of course, there are many options today, many religions. We live in a world which is both fantastic and full of excitement, and it is full of destruction, of crime and war, of fraud and evil. It is a big mixture, and we live in the middle of it. Here, we have our freedom and our limits, here we do our choices. It is a world which has separated itself from the holy God, it lives by itself ... God has chosen to speak to us in the middle of our world. In Jesus, he became human. The word became flesh (John 1). He comes, to talk to us and to live with us. And the bible also talks about the death of Jesus. He came into the destruction of this world. He came into its evil, to suffer and to be put to death. He is carrying our sin, our destruction, our guilt. He takes it, and he dies with it. The message which he gives us is: who ever believes in me, is freed of his sin, of his guilt. Who ever believes in Jesus, will live! {{ 2016_02_29_2.jpg}} **Faith decisions ...** The bible talks about faith as a new birth. We are born, when we come to faith in Christ Jesus. It is like becoming a child, a little baby, a kid of the most high. In faith we are renewed, and we are free of guilt, free of sin! There are deep precesses going on, when we trust our life into the hands of Jesus. Let us listen to the gospel of John: 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. (John 5, 24) We are invited to trust, invited to this deep life decision. Trust your life into the hand of the eternal God, into the hand of Christ Jesus. There is an open door for you, personally. He called himself the door, the way, the life. Enter God's kingdom through faith in Jesus, and you will experiences the powers of God's new world in your own life! And everyone, who has received it, will tell you: "Come!"
