======What are your goals? ...======


Thursday, July 21, 2016. What is it that you want to reach today? What are your
goals for this particular day? Often we have general goals. Or we have far reaching
ideas. Or we have dreams. And all of these are very important. But then we need
to break things down to goals for today, and for goals for the next hour and the
next 10 minutes.

**List of important goals ...**

When you deal with your goals, you will need to make choices. There may be a list
of important things to do. And you need to select the next topic. People call this
priorities. But priorities is not the right term here - it is more about the 
path through the jungle. 

What is your path - all parts of this path are important,
it is just the order of steps which need to be chosen, and usually it is not a
question of priorities but a question of how to get through the jungle. 

For example, you want to do things with friends. You want to be with your family.
You also want to reach something in your job. Probably, all that is important
and you cannot play your job against your family and vice versa. Your family needs
your job. You cannot just choose one over the other, it is nonsense.

**God and my Goals ...**

I believe that my goals cannot be independent of God either. And it is usually not
the choice between his goals and my goals. That can happen, sometimes, but it is
not the basic problem on a daily basis. When you get to know God, you find a loving
father. He wants you to prosper. He loves you. He wants you to learn, to find love,
to live in truth and to find support. 

Of course, God does not want you to fall into dependencies which cause trouble
and which lead you into many illusions. He wants you to be healthy, with your body
and with your soul, with your mind and your emotions. He wants healing, forgiveness,
a fresh start every morning. He brings continuing change, since he brings us
closer to his purity and majesty day by day.

It is a great adventure, to start to let my goals become God's goals and God's goals
to become my goals. Both happens when you live in faith - in particular when you
exercise prayer on a regular basis. It happens when I listen
to him, to his word, to his view onto and into this creation. He can tell me much
about my world, my life, my environment and my goals!
