======God in Fullness ...======
Tuesday, Nov 22, 2016. God is great. God is infinite, he encloses the universe. If
at all we only have a very limited idea of the greatness of God, the creator. But
in his creation he has shown a lot of his majesty, the enormity of the universe,
stars, suns, planets. At the same time God is in the smallest things, he sees into
molecules and atoms, the chemical processes of life. God is also there, where
we cannot see any more and cannot detect things.

**Christ ...**
The New Testament tells the story of God, the creator of humans. He is more than
their origin. He wants to live with them! He wants to reach us, wants to be with us,
wants community with us, wants to listen and to talk. The words of God, his
companionship, is everywhere in the Old Testament, the development of the people
of Israel is filled by God's love and compassion. It finds its culmination in
Jesus, who is called the Christ, the one who is filled with the holy spirit. The
apostle Paul writes about him:
17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.
(from Colossians 1)

**Christ ...**
The story of the New Testament is a story of a great reconciliation. It first is
the reconciliation of God with mankind. It is about deep forgiveness. It is about
justice, about purity of thought, words and deeds. It is about so many things -
and in all of it Jesus plays the central role for us.
Paul writes far reaching sentences here: God is in Christ with all fullness. How can
the great God be in fullness in a human? It is said about Jesus that he is true
man and true God - that he is the word of God, who was with him at the beginning,
and became human. In him both comes together. There is nothing in this world which
would be more open to see, than Christ Jesus who was and is a pure wonder. And that
he generates forgiveness in us and for us.
We long for this reconciliation to gain full space in us. It is both a given fact
and a task. It is a story which is completed, and it is a target point for our life
at the same time. It is wonderful and majestic!
