Sometimes you read a bible text, but do not realize that it talks to you, right into your current personal situation. You read it, and it seems to have the same flat words. Words which do not touch you in your current difficulty. But it could, and it is just trying to teach you ... {{2016_12_13.jpg }} **Talking to me ...** For example, yesterday we have been reading the words of Paul about how we should live - about the very fundament and spirit which could and should be in our life. To me, it appeared the same chain of high standards which are far from being real in any normal working environment. 12 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. (from Colossians 3) In a normal working environment, you can forgive, but things will continue. People do not change, usually, and when they have strange attitudes or strange behavioral habits, this will continue to be disturbing. You can forgive, but even if you forgive again and again, the problem does not change. {{ 2016_12_13_2.jpg}} **Meekness ...** I like it. God puts his finger into the wound - not to cause further pain, but to heal it. Where we are not full of humility, meekness and patience, we are challenged by the Lord himself. He has all in his hand, he can carry it out. Why do we doubt that the heavenly forces can do what they want to do? There is no doubt about it. But it is his goal that we learn his spirit. It is his key task that we learn to become like he is, that we learn from his character. It is not about mere force or mere victory. It is just not. It is about a different type of life, a different type of community, about truth and love, about humility and meekness and patience. Living with the Lord is always an adventure. It is always exciting. It always bears perspective and future. The situation might look without such perspective - but he has many possibilities which we do not know. He can do. He will do.
