1 But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. 5 And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? | 1 But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. 5 And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?

| Why do you seek the living among the dead? So often we think of faith as a dead
| story. So often we think that life is to be found in more active things, ... and
| each and everyone of us has his or her own ideas of what that is to him. But we
| could not be less on the right track. Life comes from God, from the creator. And
| it is with God, with the creator. He gave it to Jesus, new life, a different life,
| eternal life! Let us think more about this ...

| |||
| It is interesting to think about the resurrection. I believe it is true. I think
| that something special happened that day, on the third day after the crucifiction
| of Jesus. I believe that God did something new, something special.
| |||
| Yet, what is my belief worth? What does it mean? Is it just a thought: yes, it
| happened? Or is it more? A faith which is merely a thought about what might have
| been, is it more worth than the thought, that it might not have been? It is
| only worth something if it has meaning and if it changes my life!
| And that is what faith in Jesus is about. It is not a thought that something might
| be fact. It is a transforming power. He is alife, and he wants to be in my life
| as well. He wants to be there as a changing force, changing my mind, my feelings,
| my actions, my words, everything. That is what faith is about: Gods presence in
| my life, his changing presence!
| It is good to think about it. If my faith is merely some thought about what might
| be reality, it is nothing. But if it is a driving force to be full of truth, full
| of love, full of wisdom, full of perspective and hope and future, then it is
| something. If it links me to the beginning and the end, to the eternal God, then
| I have found. | ||
