They learn to speak, learn to eat, learn to walk, learn many things over 20 years. After all these years of childhood and youth a human is able to take responsibility and care for his or her life.

+What is making your life work? Let us look at the whole range of the human life, from childhood to potentially having a family, and then grandchildren, high age, death. Or perhaps things do not work out that easily, there is illness, no family at all, some years of activity, early death. All this is possible, and each human has to deal with a particular fate.
+The following text is found in the letter which the Apostle Paul wrote to the Galatians, a church he founded himself years before.

+Let us dig deeper here. Paul writes about Jesus Christ, about his crucifiction, his death at the cross. Why is it important for the people of that church? Why is it important for me and for you?

+** The Meaning of the Cross ... **
+The bible talks about the God and creator of all what is. It portrais him as holy, as loving, as just, as trustworthy, as powerful, as creative, as gentle, as very very serious in all what he does.
+How do humans relate to God? Do humans know God, or is God outside of our immediate range of experiences? Indeed, God is offering humans the possibility to live without him. We will not see much of him during our lifetime. He has given us this time, to live and to make our decisions about what we value, what we want, how we want to move into the future. It is limited by our life span, something on the order of 80 and 100 years.
+But still God is there, everywhere, every day. God's spirit is there. And God would love to live with us as humans. He would love to have community with us. Even though our life, our choices, our decisions and the overall way we do things does not fit to him with respect to many aspects.
+Here the life of Jesus comes into play. God generates a possibility for each and every human to have community with him. His justice is satisfied by Jesus life himself. In this death he creates justice for all humans. If we are willing to accept Jesus, we can live with God. In and through Jesus the door to God is open. We can enter. And he will enter into our life through the holy spirit.
+So we need Jesus as the door. We cannot satisfy God's justice by ourselves. By all our individual choices we are still far away from his justice, his love, his truth, his fidelity. We are just separated from him, but this separation is overcome by Jesus. We can ask God do come into our life, just by a personal prayer. What a perspective!
