Was macht dich vertrauenswürdig? …

Das ist ein guter Punkt, eine gute Frage! Verändern vertrauenswürdige Menschen nie ihre Meinung? Doch, sie tun das. Es geht nicht darum, sich nicht zu verändern. Es geht nicht darum, immer dasselbe zu sagen. Es geht nicht darum, besonders konservativ zu sein oder einen bestimmten Stil zu haben.

Es ist interessant, was Menschen vertrauenswürdig macht. Es geht nicht darum, niemals negative Dinge zu sagen. Vertrauenswürdige Menschen sind in der Lage, dir zu sagen was du falsch machst - und es ist kein Problem. Vertrauenswürdige Menschen können dich sogar gelegentlich hängen lassen - und auch das ist kein Problem!

Bei der Vertrauenswürdigkeit geht es um die grundlegende Einstellung, die Menschen dir gegenüber haben. Es geht darum zu wissen, dass ihnen daran gelegen ist, dass es dir gut geht - und dass sie dich bei allen wichtigen Schritten unterstützen werden, die dazu nötig sind. Es bedeutet nicht, dass du immer alles bekommst, was du haben möchtest. Aber du weißt, dass sie in einer positiven und unterstützenden Einstellung sind, wenn es um dich persönlich geht.

Vertrauenswürdige Leiter in der Gemeinde …

Das Neue Testament formuliert Kriterien für Vertrauenswürdigkeit, wenn es um die Leiterschaft in der Kirche geht. Der Apostel Paulus schreibt an Titus über diese Dinge:

5 Ich habe dich auf Kreta zurückgelassen, damit du die Arbeit zu Ende führst, die wir dort gemeinsam begonnen haben. Vor allem sollst du in den einzelnen Städten geeignete Männer als Leiter der Gemeinden einsetzen. 6 Es müssen Männer sein, die ein vorbildliches Leben führen. Sie dürfen nur eine Frau haben. Ihre Kinder sollen an Jesus Christus glauben und nicht als zügellos und ungehorsam bekannt sein. 7 Ein Gemeindeleiter muss tatsächlich in jeder Beziehung vorbildlich leben, denn er trägt die Verantwortung für die Gemeinde Gottes. Darum darf er weder rechthaberisch noch jähzornig oder gewalttätig sein, kein Trinker, und er soll nicht darauf aus sein, sich durch unehrliche Geschäfte zu bereichern. 8 Vielmehr soll er gastfreundlich sein, das Gute lieben und besonnen sein, gerecht urteilen, ganz für Gott da sein und sich selbst beherrschen können. 9 Außerdem muss er sich an die zuverlässige Botschaft Gottes halten, so wie sie ihm gelehrt worden ist. Denn nur so kann er die Gemeinde im Glauben festigen und andere, die einer falschen Lehre verfallen sind, von ihrem Irrweg abbringen. (Titus 1, 5-9)

Es ist auch eine Schicht der Vertrauenswürdigkeit, solide Lehre zu kennen und zu lehren. Es bedeutet auch, solide Lehre zu leben. Das bedeutet nicht, dass du perfekt bist! Im Gegenteil. Es bedeutet, dass du deine Schwächen kennst, und dass du sie in voller Würde und im Glauben lebst. Vertrauenswürdigkeit beinhaltet Ehrlichkeit, Bescheidenheit und Liebe als integrale Bestandteile.
