======Orientation 1 - Intro ...======
Monday, July 12, 2010. Most of us lead a rather busy life. Among our friends
there are several families with kids. With two or three kids you never get bored.
Usually, a day starts early, since kids need to go to school and we need to
go to work.
But days do not stop early either. We come home and then still there are
various leisure activities for the kids,
there is homework to be done and ... when all this
is finished, kids want to be brought to bed, want a story, attention, need to
collect their things for the next day etc etc ... These are wonderful things,
but they also take time!

**Orientation in busy days**
How do we get orientation in busy days? Do we have particular days where we have
less to do? Do we have particular days where we get the freedom and flexibility
we need to come to our senses, to reflect our life, our activities and our
decisions?
It is not an easy task at all, to find time for proper reflection. Usually, our
life follows particular tracks. It is very difficult for us to leave these tracks,
to get into a silent mode. This is true in particular for people with kids
or for people with high-responsible jobs. Days are full, and we barely get out
of it.
But even if you have a lot of free time, for example in the evenings or at the
weekends ... or maybe you are even unemployed, but still it is difficult to
leave well-set path of thought and emotions. It might not be the business itself,
which is keeping us from leaving the fixed limits of our mind and heart, but
we are missing the right input.

**Biblical invitations**
The bible wants to invite us to get further input. It invites us to step out of
the busy path of our life and find a place where real reflection is possible. It
invites us into some space of freedom.
The biblical place of freedom is a place in the presence of the Lord, the
presence of the eternal God. But how do we get into his presence? The biblical
answer is very simple: he is there anyway. You are already in his presence.
But of course you need to listen to him. You need to go and read his words,
read the biblical stories and texts. And you need to go and bring your life
to him in prayer. You can talk to him and listen to him in prayer times.
We can get orientation from the Lord. To start this process, we need to go to
him. We need to start to listen. We need to start to read the bible, to meet
other people who are living with him. We need to go into prayer and start
a relationship with him ...
