Trust him! ...
Thursday, Aug 20, 2015. There are many good reasons to trust God. But the question is: do we want to trust him? Do we want to listen? Do we want to search? The bible does not leave much doubt, that God is there, and that his love and presence is just waiting for us.
How stupid are we? …
We humans tend to be quite stupid, honestly. Instead of believing God, who is trustworthy beyond measure, we follow our own little goals. We rather start our own agenda than listening to the Lord. I must admit that I am not much better. I also have my desires, my longings. And I fail to turn around and do what would be truly good.
We all fall short of the glory, which we should have. We all fall short of the truthfulness and fidelity, which would be good and adequate dealing with others. We all fall short of the purity of life. But life can be pure, it can be full of love and full of forgiveness, full of truth! It can be different. A starting point is what God has done through Jesus. He is opening a source for us:
10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” (Romans 10, 10-11)
Not put to shame …
God is forgiving. God is good. God is pure. He opens a source of life for us, a source of daily life, of life every minute we are given. It is all linked to Christ Jesus, since in him and through him God made his salvation an offer and a reality for us. We lack purity, but we are given his purity. We lack life, but we are given his life.
God offers new life to us, eternal life, a life which is full of him, of his fantastic love and his spirit. The only thing we need to do is to believe by heart and to confess our belief. Through Christ Jesus we are saved!
The life with him is a fantastic adventure. When you come to him, he opens new perspectives to your life. He puts new possibilities into your day - day by day. Life does not end with him, but it starts with him! Trust him, there is nothing better one could ever find or reach! (RWEP) ... more texts
