When am I alone? …

With a family you care for kids in the morning. You go to work. You might have to be there for lunchtime (in Germany kids come back from school arount 1pm). If you work full-time, you work again in the afternoon. Then, in the evening, you care for the kids again, until they go to sleep. For us that is now around 9pm, sometimes even later, when the older kids stay up until 10pm.

It is quite a challenge, to have a day which is filled with 9 hours of hectic management and research work and with another 5-6 hours of family business. When am I alone? When do I have time to think, to relax, to come to myself?

Many families today are that busy. And when you are single mum or single dad, it is even more challenging, since you cannot easily find someone who takes the responsibility for some time.

But there is one thing which is possible for everyone. God is always there. He always listens. You can pray where ever you are, what ever you do. He will hear you.

The biblical promises are fantastic - and valid indeed. I believe that a day will change, when you start to pray … however busy you are. Prayer is always possible, even when you are in a meeting, cook lunch or travel by care through the rush hour! ... more texts
