Sow your Grace bountifully ...

Tuesday, Jan 12, 2016. Christian faith makes a real difference. It is changing our heart, our attitudes, our decisions. We are invited to the grace of God in Christ Jesus. We are invited to his truth, his love, his mercy: to his unlimited grace. What does it mean?

Deep friendliness …

God generates in our heart a deep mercy and friendliness. He generates in our heart a deep peace and joy. He frees us from all bonds. He takes our life into his hands, and he shapes it, his way!

To be a Christian does not mean that we would not face difficulties and limitations. It is not a contradiction, since sometimes God frees exactly through our limitations, by using them. You might contradict and argue that this opens the door to all kind of twisted interpretations of experiences. But I just mean that we should carefully look at our experiences, and see where the Lord leads us. Have a look into the following text from 2. Corinthians:

6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 9 As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” 10 He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. (2 Cor 9, 6-11)

Every good work …

I think that it is really true, that God wants to give unlimited grace to you, and that he will do this and can do this when you live in faith, when you follow him, when you give your life into his hand. It does not mean that all challenges disappear immediately. But it is in and through the challenges and problems, where he shows his mercy and his grace. Even if you cannot see it currently, you will soon look back and be filled with thankfulness and joy.

There were times in our life, where we struggled to get our monthly income, where we were a household of 5 with just one regular income. But in all of this God has blessed us, he has provided all we needed, and more than that. I did some business work and earned what was necessary for our family. And God led us through the positions and hierarchies of this world, step by step, with deep blessing!

When ever you give freely and with joy, you will find open ears and feedback which is above all measures. There are mechanisms, of course, quite worldly psychological mechanisms. But there is much more. By our own grace we take part in God's realm, become a part of his agenda, take over his style and character. He is there, with his Holy Spirit, the spirit of grace, truth and friendship, the spirit of true humanity! (RWEP) ... more texts
