Wednesday, March 178, 2009. I am extremely grateful that God is there, that my life, my ideas about love and truth, are not lonely in an empty world. For quite a time in my life I have lived without this knowledge, without faith! I did not know God, did not know what exactly to believe. Why is God's love important? For me it is important in so many ways: it is source, light, measuring rod, consolation, encouragement and much more.

Let's pick out one or two things here. God's love is my measuring rod. His love is so clear, so free , so enabling. That is like a compass or map for my own development, for my love, for the goals and decisions I have to take daily. God's love is clear, he does not compromise his truth, but make me free at the same time, since his love is full of grace. Here, the cross is the key building stone of his love, generating new life free of guilt of any kind.

So his love is like a light for our time. Where our world has never learned to really love, his love is providing ideas, fresh input, clear guidance and leadership for all what we do. We could gain so much when we would search him and his love daily. Our minds and feelings would change. Our society would change as a consequence. We live in dynamic times - here we have a clear goal, clear light of orientation. Yes, God's love wants to lead us personally and wants to be the determining force of the world. [R.P., Reading, UK]
