Find new hope and encouragement ...

Friday, Oct 8, 2010. Sometimes we cannot continue with some work or some path we are on. There are moments in our life where things cannot go on. Sometimes it is time for a change. But is it really time for change or just time for a break?

Sometimes we need a break …

Sometimes we need to make a break. We need to stop something which we have been doing for a long time. We need to breath, we need to rest, we need to find new encouragement and new hope.

I came to a point like this several times in my life. Some of the things which I stopped during those times I never touched again. But there are also some, which I took up again and restarted them. There are those valuable activities, which were important to me and to others, and I found new hope, a new basis to continue, new joy and new motivation.

Somehow, when we come to this point where things need new encouragement, it is a great chance! We will ask: what do I really want? What is really important? What can be stopped, what should be continued or even extended significantly. He wants to be with the lonely, with those who do not seem to be on the happy side of life. He wants to be with those who seem to have little. But they have him and his presence. Hey, God is just fantastic … !

It gives me new hope to go to the Lord in prayer. When I ask him: “what do you think, eternal God?”, I find answers in prayer. I remember his love, I am drawn to his creation, I remember the biblical stories and I realize: all that is more than a story, it is him here with me, it is him with you and with everyone around me. His meaning and his perspective is in my life and in yours! ... more texts
