My heart leading me ...

Monday, June 18, 2012. Where is your heart leading you? What is it that attracts you, on a level far beyond normal attractions? What is it that drives you, that pulls you, that gives your life a basis?

What my heart tells me …

My heart tells me that there are more important things than our world offers and promises. There is something more important than wealth, more important than success, more important than power and fame. More important than being in the middle of many people. More important than being attractive. More important …!

My heart tells me that this cannot be all. The things we usually do cannot be the end. There must be more, and there is more. My heart tells me that there are things beyond the things which seem to be the world.

I started with this insight, which my heart told me and still continues to tell me, long ago. I started to look beyond. I started to ask questions. I started to search. And I found a voice in the wilderness. I found the voice of the Lord. I found a whole world, a whole kingdom, a whole universe within and beyond our world. I found the Lord … and realized that my heart was right and is right!

Be with him with all my heart …

Christian faith is an invitation: to discover the Lord. It is the invitation to live with the Lord. Live with him in a complete renewal of your life. The renewal of the heart can take place in an instant. But it takes your whole life, at the same time. It is a continuing process, done, but still to be done.

Christian faith is an invitation to be with him with all your heart. It is an invitation to put your heart into his hands. To let him fill your heart with his heart. To let his spirit live in your heart. To find his love, within you. Be with him with all your heart!

It is an exciting adventure to discover the heart of the Lord. It is an adventure leading to joy and to peace. It is an adventure leading into new ground, fresh grassland, wonderful rivers! Let your heart guide you … and listen to his voice. (Roland Potthast) ... more texts
