Encounter with the Lord ...
Monday, July 13, 2015. What a weekend! Sometimes you think that God is far - and then he is there, in the middle of your life, talking to you. Sometimes you think: where is my experience when it comes to the Lord? And then he is there, with your experience clearly lining what you heard and believed already.

Music and Reason …
God can be there in your music, in your worship. We had a youth service on Friday night - and I took part in it playing violine in our worship band. It was fantastic: the rehearsal as well as the worship time in the service. God talked to me, during this times of music, with and in the singing and the prayers.
Sometimes God reaches your heart, your soul, your mind - everything together. And things become clearer. It seems as if he is switching on some light to have a look at your life, at your personality, your dreams and fears, your past … all what is important to you, what gives meaning to you.
God also sheds light on your failures, on your illusions, on all the goals which are not sustainable nor reaonable in the light of eternity. You might need courage to drop what hinders you full humanity, and what hinders you to follow the Lord completely. In his light reason becomes reasonable, life becomes full life.
Time with his Word …
On Saturday I spent a lot of time with the bible, preparing a sermon for Sunday where it was my turn this time. And it happened again: God spoke to me. He came with his spirit. Sometimes when you try to serve others, you gain most yourself. He talked to me, into my life, into my difficulties and problems.
How can you describe what the light of God is like. It is like a the pleasant sun on a warm evening in spring or autumn. It is a clear light, but it does not destroy. It is a light which gives freedom. In his light you can let go, what troubles you, without letting it crash! It is a responsible light, but free at the same time. A light of a love which is beyond measure and expectation.
Come to the Lord. Where ever you are, what church you attend (stay there and believe in the living God, in father, son and holy spirit!). Come, it is worth it. He is the creator, the beginning, the wonderful, the source of life. He is the loving center of the universe - there is good news today: there is a God, and in Christ Jesus we are invited to come to him and experience what he calls “true life”. Come!
