Prayer changing me.

Good morning. Tuesday, Jan 20, 2008. It is interesting how our view into the world can change by faith. Quite recently I have been sitting frustrated and discouraged, since things did not work as I wanted them to work. Things just seemed so stupid and without any purpose. I was tempted just to give up and to try to run away. But then I prayed. I went to God, telling him exactly how I felt. I went to him in prayer for an hour and said: God, change things! Come and talk to me! Tell me how you see this, give me your opinion on my situation.

What happened was astonishing. It was like a ray of sunshine pushing away the dark clouds around me. My situation changed nearly instantly. People will discover some psychological effect here. But it still was amazing: suddenly my perception changed. I started to see how beautiful the people around me are. I saw a purpose in my special situation, even with the things which did not work. How can you expect that everything ever works. We should not be completely absorbed by the crazy philosophy of our time, but listen to God, to his love for us and his truth.
