Snow everywhere - some interruption ...

Thursday, Dec 9, 2010. This morning we had between 5 and 10cm new snow. Everything was white. The world was covered by a sparkling blanket. Our kids realized very early and were excited to move outside way before 7am to clear the area in front of our house. It is a magic winter wonder world … every year when the first snow falls, magic has returned!

Yes, it is cold, but in the middle of the cold of the winter there is some peace given to us. We are slowed down … as if God had known our hectic and our focus on goals already when he created the world. He knew that we need some break …

I believe that the winter is an invitation to us. Snow is an invitation: to enjoy the world. To slow down and look up to the creator. It is the invitation to rearrange our goals and our focus. He is the source of life, the source of creation, and the source of joy. And his creativity made something magic in abundance: snow! ... more texts
