Our faith journey ...

Monday, Jan 24, 2011. Today we live in a mobile world. We all travel much faster than our fathers used to travel. We commute 40 miles in the morning to go to work, and another 40 in the evening to go back to our home. Mobility is one of the key driving factors of our society.

Faith journey …

I wonder whether we could do some faith journey similar to our many journeys we all do today. How would that look like? Where do we start, where do we go?

Of course, we start our faith journey right where we are. We start with our faith, or with our missing faith. We start with our questions. We start with the open mind we have. Or with the fury we feel about this God and the things that happened to us.

Where do we go? Do we have some guide or guidance? Do we have some source of faith or of knowledge about faith, that we trust and that we might use? Do we know some person, or a book, or some place we can go?

X-Tours Faith Seminar …

When I asked myself how the question of faith could be addressed, when I was browsing material on my computer, I realized the seminar which I had written many years ago. I started to read and think that it is really something which might be such a starting point. So I would like to go through it again, jointly with you, online.

So I would like to use the blog to read - and possibly revise - the seminar. I am open to further questions and remarks, just send an email to me.

But when I looked through it I also realized: when we talk about God, the age of things is not what really matters. God is a very young God, yet he is the oldest being in the universe. He is new every morning, and the experiences which we do with him, the words he spoke to us, do not loose its spice or freshness. They are valid yesterday and today and tomorrow. ... more texts
