Christian Society? ...

Thursday, March 24, 2011. We have many Christians in our country. That is a fact which is remarkable. There is quite some number of people who believe in God and who believe in Jesus, the Christ. But there are more remarkable things.

How are we living together? …

How are we living together as Christians? Is it possible to see and realize that we follow the Lord by the way we live, by the way we treat each other, by the way we interact?

Is it possible to see that we are Christians which are led by the love and truth of God by the way we do business? By the way we do science? By the way we treat kids?

For some of the above questions the answer might be yes. For others the answer is no or “not necessarily”. Often, there is no particular “Christian” behaviour. Everyone can do things which are right and good. And also, Christians also fail in many things. We do not fully live the way of Jesus, no one does!

What are the Perspectives? …

What are the perspectives for our community? What is or might be possible? What is impossible? What is bad? Christian life in the middle of a general community life, what does it mean and how can it be realized?

We need to talk more about what is the core of Christian behavior. It is forgiveness, love, peace, truth. But we need to break it down to very particular steps. And these steps cannot be doctrinal, they must be practical and must incorporate the broad discussion of the Christian community!

But I also see clear perspectives for faith in every society. Faith gives a personal relationship to God. It gives peace into our heart. It connects us with the love, truth and eternal perspective of God. This cannot remain a secret, it will spread into our behavior, will influence or words, the way we approach things.
