Developing understanding.

Good morning. Friday, Jan 9, 2008. Usually I spent some time every day looking through the news. I read newspapers in the UK, in Germany and in France - this has developed into some kind of personal tradition. It is interesting to see how different events are reflected by the media in different countries - and the way to write and think shows some significant differences even though these countries are not that far away from each other in terms of geographical distance - if I compare it with Japan, China or the US. The way to reflect public events is different in each of the countries I am linked to.

I have spent a significant time of the last years in the UK, in Germany, in France and in Japan, with further travel to China, Italy and the United States. I love each of these countries and the people there, and sometimes I fear some of the less fortunate features of the societies. I can understand God's view who created humans and then gave them different strengths and the possibility to evolve. Each country has wonderful specialties, we could learn a lot from each other, but it needs the will to really understand how things work in the other country, in the other society. Let do it - lets develop this understanding! In principle, with languages in school, with the European community and with a lot of exchange on various levels we are on a good way. But we also need Jesus attitude to serve, to work together, to find solutions which help everyone in Europe and beyond. God created us as brothers and sisters to live with him and with another!
