Kindness ...

Tuesday, Feb 26, 2013. God is full of kindness. God is good. We hear this many times in the New Testament. What type of God is God? Who is he? How is he? And how is that influencing our days?

God is Love …

First of all, God is called “love”. He is, indeed, so much full of love, that he is even called “the love”. God is friendly. He is kind. He wants good things for us, all the time!

The best image we can have of Gods love and care is that of a young mother wo is taking care of her first baby. She will get up in the night. She will be there all the time. She will feed the baby, love the baby, play with the baby and it will fill her day completely.

God is kindness. Can we imagine pure kindness? Can we imagine an attitude which is completely friendly?

His kindness in our life …

God invites us to believe in him. We are invited to believe in Jesus. When we do, his spirit comes to us and fills our life. When we hand over our life to him, when we live with him, he fills our life with his kindness.

Faith is an invitation - the invitation to become like him. It is the invitation to be transformed. This transformation is meant to be complete. It is meant to touch all parts of our life. It is meant to fill our heart with his wisdom, truth, love, kindness and joy!

We are free, when we live with him. He wants us to use the freedom to be filled with his spirit. It might take us years to get to know him better. It might take us years to be filled again and again, deeper and more sincerely. But these are fantastic years, where we learn about a fantastic God, who is with us and in us, spreading his kindness into our life, day by day! ... more texts
